The Corvin Castle in Hunedoara

From the Bison Reservation in Hațeg we decided to drive towards Hunedoara and to make a short stop at the Corvin Castle. After almost 40 minutes of driving we have stopped in a parking lot next to the castle and I walked to the main entrance to take some photos.

Now a few words about Corvin castle. This castle is one of the most important landmark in the historical region of Transylvania, Romania. It was built in the 15th century on the orders of John Hunyadi who was the Voivode of Transylvania. Today is one of the most visited medieval castle in Romania. Another important thing to mention, this castle is also known as Hunyadi castle probably because John Hunyadi lived here.
