The old medieval Lutheran fortified church in the Transylvanian village of Saschiz.
Since we arrived to Saschiz about 10 minutes before an ugly summer storm, we started to explore the place close to the fortified church and right before it started to rain we managed to find a nice bar/restaurant which was about 100 meters away from the Lutheran fortified church. We enjoyed there a nice coffee while outside was pouring with rain. Luckily, the storm has lasted almost 15 minutes and after the storm passed, I’ve decided to capture more photos. Close to the church, while going down on a street, I saw an old wooden bridge at the end of the street which was closed to the public because it was in a very bad condition, so I decided to capture some photos of the old bridge because it looked very interesting to me.
Before the ugly summer storm
As the summer storm started to move towards the Lutheran fortified church, I saw right in front of the bar I saw an old man sitting on a large tree and I have decided to capture some photos of him. Right after a couple of shots, the wind started to blow very hard and also it started to rain.
Let’s try an HDR photo
For all the HDR fans, I have decided to share with you one example of an HDR image of Saschiz’s main attraction. This photo was captured after the summer storm. For this shot I’ve decided to use the following setting on my camera: I’ve set my aperture to f/8 for a nice sharp image and since I’ve shot in aperture priority mode, the camera has decided to use a shutter speed of 1/80 seconds. After some post-processing, this is my final result.
