The title of this post sounds a little bit weird because you are actually watching a black and white photo, but try to believe me that the calf from the photo was also black and white. This HDR photo was captured a couple years ago, when one day, I saw some cows not far from the place where I’m living and I’ve decided to go near them and photograph them. As I started to get closer to them, the cows started slowly to walk away from me but a calf stood almost in the same position so I started to go towards the calf first. Before I started to photograph them, I decided increased my camera’s shutter speed to capture a nice sharp image of that black and white calf.
Why black and white?
The main reason why I’ve turned this photo into black and white was when I shoot this photo, outside the light was really harsh because the image was shot midday and unfortunately the colored version of the photo looked really awful. So in order to fix this problem, I came up with the following solution, first I’ve turned the original image into HDR and after that, I’ve made it black and white and to be honest, I really like the final result of this photo.
