After we left the Transylvanian village of Biertan, we have decided to take a short stop in the small village of Șaroș pe Târnave where another old fortified church is located. Unfortunately, I’ve captured some exterior shots of the church because it was closed to the public when we arrived there.
The entrance into the fortified church and the bastion
Here is a photo of the entrance into the fortified church but unfortunately it was closed. Close to the fortification walls we found a small path which leads to the back of the church and we’ve decided to follow that path.
The Lutheran church within the fortification walls
This photo was captured from the small path which leads to the back of the church. You can notice the Lutheran church inside the fortification walls.
A small part of the village in winter
This shot was captured next to the back of the Lutheran church, as you can see in the photo below, on that cold winter morning, the landscape was covered with snow. Despite of the winter cold morning, I saw a lot of activity in the small village.
Children playing in the snow
After capturing some photos, we were headed to the car and on our way back from the fortified church, I saw some children playing in the snow near the fortification walls.
